Export Award Commendation and Innovation & Commercialisation Award Finalists at the 2014 APSEA
We are very proud to announce that Taylors were finalists (final 3) for the Innovation and Commercialisation award at the 2014 Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards.
Hosted jointly by SSSI and SIBA, in conjunction with the Locate14 Conference, Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards (APSEA) showcase the technical diversity and innovation evident across the spatial industry.
Every year, members of the spatial sciences community make significant contributions that impact across many sectors of society. APSEA is an excellent opportunity to recognise and reward these contributions. It is also a special night to recognise the achievements and service contributions of professionals within the industry.
Taylors were in the final 3 for the Innovation and Commercialisation award for our NBN Survey Solution. We use vehicle mounted LIDAR to capture spatial and qualitative data which is used to design fibre optic cable routes for the aerial deployment aspects of the NBN project. Our unique solution has provided a significant improvement to the spatial data traditionally received in this industry.
In the category of Export there was no award announced, however Taylors was presented with a Highly Commended prize for our Bangladesh Train-The-Trainer Course. We are well connected in this emerging export market and our Train The Trainer course prepared for the Bangladesh Government Department of Land Records and Survey will help bring about reform of the Bangladesh Land Administration System and has the potential to improve the lives of millions.
