Taylors celebrates 50 years of Relationships, Expertise and Solutions
On the 31st of July, our Board, senior management team and 10-Year Club members got together with the past directors of Taylors to celebrate our 50th anniversary milestone. Special guests included founder John Taylor, past directors Peter Avery and Geoff Welsh, as well as more recent past director Creighton Parker. Unfortunately past director Nik Phizacklea couldn’t be with us due to heart surgery and we wish him well in his recovery.
Over dinner and drinks at Taxi restaurant, a great night of reflection and reminiscing was had by all with many stories shared about the ‘good old days’, particularly prompted by a review of the first Job Book, early days Taylors memorabilia and photos from the archives.
The featured survey photo of John Taylor in 1963 stands out as an iconic representation of where we have come from and just how far we have come in 50 years. It was a proud moment of celebration for Taylors and we all came away with a strong sense of the challenges, successes and values of the past that make Taylors the business we know it to be today, and with thoughts about building on this platform into the next 50 years.
We look forward to more 50th anniversary celebration activity for all in conjunction with our Christmas Party in December.
