The project’s objectives were to develop a design for a new retail shop front, two, 2 storey, 3 bedroom apartments, that were focussed around a central courtyard, and adequate parking to the rear to meet the council requirements. This style of shop top development in using under-utilised sites that are will located to existing services and infrastructure is one direction that Melbourne housing will move in the future. The design has been so well received that neighbouring property owners have already approached Taylors to optimise the potential of their neighbouring properties.
Taylors provided the services of Town Planning, Survey and Design for this project, with the resulting development progressing through from initial survey and design concepts to planning approval, onward to working drawing production and construction. Additional services included consultant engagement and coordination.
